I am a big fan of homemade bread and have been making this recipe for years now: Clone Of A Cinnabon. They are insanely easy if you have a bread machine to do the hard part – prepare the yeast dough. I am not into the super gooey cinnabon type, but altered this recipe to make sticky buns and they turned out awesome. Even 2 days later and a quick 15 second pop in the microwave and they tasted fresh out of the oven.

For the sticky buns, make everything as directed in the recipe above, except instead of the icing, you need to make the sugar/pecan mixture for the bottom of the pan. Heat up all these ingredients until the sugar dissolves, then pour into the bottom of your sticky bun baking pan and place unbaked sticky buns on top. Once baked as directed in original recipe, remove and flip upside down onto a piece of parchment paper (or whatever you want really) to let cool.
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 tsp. orange extract
- 1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
